Waves Matter

Document Outline -----------------------
Chapter 0 - Not the Preface

I required a Chapter 0 to explain that this piece is a work in progress, not a final output. This isn't a final version that I've tweaked to perfection and am finally putting on the internet. Instead it's the earliest draft with vastly incomplete sections, that I'm building on the internet instead of on my computer at home.

I'm putting it here for a few reasons - ease of access (because I'm rarely outside a WiFi zone), to keep it public (so reviewers can come back later and confirm dates for posterity), and because I'm hoping to get an audience sooner rather than later (though I'm not actively taking efforts to find an audience because most people think I'm out of my gourd).

As a work in progress, chapters will spring up and disappear during construction, and the order may be revised extensively. Don't expect the same work to still be here a month later, as it may be completely revised.

The audience of the document is intended to be me, but as if I don't remember my own theories. Maybe the audience is me-twenty-five-years ago, even before learning Newtonian mechanics.

I've got lots to say so I might as well jump in.

1)  Introduction***********

*Yadda

2)  Inertia and Relativity***********

* When we try to perform scientific experiments, a good way to start is to remove influences that may affect the results. For example, if a contaminant gets into a sample of blood, are we measuring the contaminant, or is something bad in that person's blood?!
(INTRO - STATEMENT ABOUT HOW MOVEMENT AND INERTIA AFFECT VERY MANY MECHANICAL EXPERIMENTS. IF WE WANT TO UNDERSTAND MECHANICS, WE MUST REMOVE THE INERTIA OF THE LABORATORY AS A FACTOR.)

* Galileo started by considering how his experiments run perfectly well on his smooth sailing boat. Smoke flows up in the cabin but backwards on the deck.
(STATEMENTS ABOUT INERTIA BEING THE FOUNDATION OF EXPERIMENTATION IN THE LABORATORY - GALILEAN LABORATORY.)

* Newton's Three Laws build upon these ideas. Inertial Reference Frame - more than just constant velocity relative to another inertial frame.
(STATEMENTS ABOUT NEWTON CODIFYING OBSERVATIONS OF GALILEO'S OBSERVATIONS OF INERTIA INTO A SET OF THREE LAWS.)

* Lorentz and Einstein built the equations and the model on top, correcting the Galilean laboratory to respect light and giving Special Relativity.
(STATEMENT POINTING OUT THAT THE LORENTZ TRANSFORMATION CORRECTS FOR PHOTONS.. IMPLICITLY SHOW EXAMPLES THAT IT'S FOR A COLLINEARLY MOVING SOURCE.)

* What about situations of arbitrary inertia, acceleration? Accelerating train example. The obvious thing to do is assume Einstein's solution works but must be generalized.  Note that this works for arbitrarily complex movements, and led Einstein to General Relativity. Back this up with statements from his actual book.
(STATEMENT NOTING THAT GENERAL RELATIVITY GENERALIZES SPECIAL RELATIVITY FOR SITUATIONS OF ARBITRARY INERTIA/ENERGY.)

* So the state of modern physics, with respect to gravity and inertial reference frames, was built with the intention of understanding how the laws of physics change depending upon the state of motion of the laboratory. If we understand how inertia and movement must affect our results, we can remove them as a factor affecting the results of our experiments.
(STATEMENTS CONCLUDING THAT THE GOAL OF THE EFFORTS OF GALILEO, NEWTON, EINSTEIN, IS TO UNDERSTAND INERTIA AND MOVEMENT WITH THE REALIZATION THAT PHOTONS ARE SPECIAL.)

* STATEMENTS POINTING OUT THAT DESPITE THE LOGIC, GENERAL RELATIVITY DOESN'T AGREE WITH QUANTUM MECHANICS, AND QM DOESN'T HAVE LARGE GAPING UNKNOWNS. GRAVITY DOES, WITH DARK MATTER, DARK ENERGY.

3)  Coordinate Changes and Photons***********

2. Second postulate (invariance of c)
As measured in any inertial frame of reference, light is always propagated in empty space with a definite velocity c that is independent of the state of motion of the emitting body. OR: The speed of light in free space has the same value c in all inertial frames of reference.

* INTRO - STATEMENT ABOUT HOW COORDINATE CHANGES HELP TO REMOVE BIAS AS A FACTOR IN ONE'S MODELS.
* STATEMENTS POINTING OUT HOW THE GALILEAN LABORATORY IS BIG, AND PHOTONS ARE DETECTED AT AN ANGLE
* STATEMENTS NOTING HOW OUR CONSTRUCTIONS RUN INTO AMBIGUITY WITH A POINT-SIZE LABORATORY. PHOTON IS MEASURED TO MOVE **NOT** AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT UNLESS WE ARE COLLINEAR.)

* I'm going to suggest that we simply proceed forward with this information and apply the Lorentz transformation just in a peculiar way, to restore the speed of the photon to the proper speed of light. We'll have to apply it in different "strengths" at each angle. The photon's velocity is broken up into c-vector = c-radial-vector + c-tangential-vector. (Diagram please.)  The "source speed" is the c-radial-vector, and the Lorentz Transform applies here.
(STATEMENTS OF DERIVATION.)

* The properties of this laboratory solve the ambiguity left behind in the SR-enhanced Galilean laboratory. I'll call it the Blain Laboratory for the rest of the document. The Blain lab has all the advantages of the Galilean Laboratory, but it gains rotational ability to deal respect the movement of photons. It is not a general theory of inertia and movement as is General Relativity, but it is a seed that can be grown into a much different theory that is much more conformable to the movement of photons.
(STATEMENTS OF DESCRIPTION OF BLAIN LABORATORY.)

* Conclusion: Weapon #1 - The Blain Laboratory
(STATEMENTS CONCLUDING THAT THE GALILEAN LAB IS DIRECTIONAL AND FAILS TO RESPECT SPEED OF LIGHT. BLAIN LABORATORY IS MORE RESPECTFUL TO PHOTONS. IT IS A POINT-SIZED LAB CAPABLE OF CRAZY RANDOM ROTATIONS BUT ONLY CONSTANT TRANSLATIONS. A MAJOR CHANGE TO GENERAL RELATIVITY IS ON THE HORIZON.)

4)  Philosophizing over Time***********

* Intro: Changing gears. If I'm changing the nature of relativity.
* B-Series time: Time is a series of snapshots, like a movie film
* B-Series time used in modern physics: a facet of spacetime, Minkowski
* B-Series time seems at odds with Quantum Mechanics - Objects don't exist until observed, some effects violate causality (spontaneous pair production, spooky action at a distance)
* A-Series time: suffers a vicious circle as described by McTaggart
* Clones running a race
* The sun versus a sun-dial: spontaneous generation of "change"
* Quantum Probability Theory as the explanation of Time's Arrow
* Q-Theory time - Now is fuzzy, the future is probability, and past is memory
* How anti-time demonstrates the non-reversibility of Q-time
* Conclusion: Weapon #3 - Q-Time

3)  Observations on Quantum Mechanics***********

* The Magic River: why location and momentum are fundamentally at odds
* Conjugate variables in Quantum Mechanics
* Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle: the deep connection between location and momentum
* Special Relativity unifies location and time - what would result if we had it operating upon not spacetime but something involving location and also momentum?
* Dan's Intuition - Momentum seems mixed up with time
* Relational momentum - does it work with Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle? Would need to change the constant but I don't see why not.
* Conclusion: Weapon #2 - Relational Momentum

5)  Simulating Simple Mechanics in 1D and Matter Waves***********

* Reviewing Newton's 1st Law - movement is currently undefined because Newton's 1st Law doesn't work anymore
*  However, change is allowed and momentum relational momentum exists, so we can use forced movement to build examples (snapshots of quantum particles)
* Reviewing Special Relativity - Special Relativity works along a single dimension (per the Blain Lab's growth from the Einstein Lab)
* DeBroglie's Matter Waves and the Correspondence to Movement (forced or otherwise)
* Newton's 2nd and 3rd Laws - Transferring force energy to matter
* Simulating Inertia

6)  Making the Simulation Real***********

* Building a 1D Q-Clock - Important because time has been strictly relational so far
* Building a 2D+ Q-Clock - To give us natural movement, in place of Newton's 1st Law
* Recognizing the echo of gravity (Subjective, Handwaved)
* Building a new theory of gravity: As pure, unforced movement and inertia; Relational momentum in the Blain Laboratory running on Q-Time.
* Equation of Q-Gravity
* Possibly dismissing Dark Matter, Dark Energy as simply artefacts of the difference between Q-Gravity and General Relativity

REMINDER OF OUR WEAPONS - #1 - Relational Momentum, #2 - Q-Time, #3 - The Blain Laboratory

Pre-simulation conclusion (first draft)*********

As you can see, although we're attempting to simulate known physics, by approaching it under the restriction that we are unable to use the t-variable for time, we have come to some different equations for basic mechanics. Although they are different, they fulfill exactly the same role as their regular (modern physics) counterparts, and you can confirm that they produce the same numbers under all conditions except with regards to gravity.

These equations hinge upon one key assumption - that the known uncertainty in their momentum (per Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle) implies that they don't necessarily exist in exactly the same moment of time. Consequently, the need for a time variable t evaporates, as shown above.

I haven't yet attempted to simulate General Relativity with what I've built so far. However, since General Relativity is built under the paradigm of Newton's First Law, it makes little sense to try it anyway. I will press on and input my equations into a computer to see what results.

Post-simulation:  The Proof in the Anomalies*********

HERE, POST: Differences between my simulation and Modern Physics, and how my simulation beats modern physics but otherwise should produce EXACTLY the same results.  (I cheat by depending heavily upon existing theories. If same equation, clearly same results.)

Principia Mathematica v2.0***********

* Basic units:
    * ---> Expired: time; though time should be kept as a derived unit, useful for Newtonian approximation calculations
    * ---> Location (distance):
    * ---> Relational momentum (as a DeBroglie Wavelength, not the same as distance):
    * ---> Expired: mass; sucked into the Relational momentum unit

* The Basic Laws:
    * ---> Expired: Newton's First Law - since patterns of movement comes out as a consequence of time, quantum probability, the Blain Laboratory (Matter waves, discussed Below)
    * Newton's 2nd Law
    * Newton's 3rd Law
    * Universal Law of Universality: The laws of the universe are universal.
    * ---> Expired: The speed of light is observed as c regardless of the velocity of the source.
    * Matter Waves are observed universally: Particles are observed to move based on the energy of their Matter Waves <-- clean="" p="" shit="" this="" up.="">
